Embest Held Seminar "ARM System Teaching & Development Kit" in Selangor, Malaysia
SHENZHEN, CHINA – May 06, 2010 – A seminar on ARM System Teaching & Development Kit was held at the Residence Hotel at UNITEN (University Tenaga Nasional) Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia on April 27, 2010.
This seminar was sponsored by Astana Digital Company in Malaysia and Embest from China. The attendees were most teachers and students from Malaysia universites. The basic aim of this seminar is to help prompt the popularization and development of ARM embedded technology in Malaysia universities.
The seminar topics included two parts: ARM University Kit - Software and Hardware, DevKit8000 and Android. On this seminar, Embest lecturer Shujun had demonstrated software examples on EmbestUniversity teaching kit, made a brief introduction for Embest IDE software tools, Samsung ARM7 hardware platform and Embest Devkit8000 OMAP3530 evaluation kit which had Android demo for user experience. The seminar was successful with the support of Astana Digital Company and the enthusiastic attendees. Embest DevKit8000 Evaluation Board is a compact board using OMAP3530 microprocessor. It takes full features of this processor and supports 128MByte DDR SDRAM and 128MByte NAND Flash as well as high-speed USB2.0 OTG function. The board has exposed many other hardware interfaces including RS232 serial port, LCD/TSP, DVI-D, S-Video, Ethernet, SD/MMC, keyboard, camera, SPI, I2C and JTAG. The board has two methods to boot the system from either SD card or NAND flash. It is able to support WinCE and Linux OS and provided with WinCE6.0 BSP and Linux2.6.28 BSP.
